We’re enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future for all, and br working hard to decarbonise the planet for generations to come. br br strong About the br role /strong br br You’ll be br working in the Control & Instrumentation engineering team to safely deliver br control system and PLC modifications and upgrades. This will include taking br responsibility for plant improvement projects, delivering high-quality, br cost-effective solutions. br br You’ll also br be expected to maintain and improve the existing control systems and PLCs by br implementing the latest security measures against cyber-attack. The role will challenge your technical br ability, problem solving and communication skills and will contribute to the br delivery of flexible, renewable energy at Drax Power Station. br br This role br provides an opportunity to develop into a subject matter expert for the br implementation of cyber-security improvements in-line with the latest NIS br regulation and IEC62443 recommendations. br br strong Who we’re br looking for /strong br br You’ll have a br minimum of a HND in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical/ Electronic br Engineering or Software Engineering. This will be coupled with previous PLC br programming experience in a technical role. br br Experience br of configuring and programming Schneider PLCs is desirable, as well as br knowledge of the NIS br regulation and IEC62443. br br The role comes br with a lot of project delivery, so alongside the technical expertise, you’ll be br an accomplished project manager and enjoy delivering critical projects and br managing a dynamic workload. br br Alongside br technical skills, you’ll demonstrate a keen willingness to learn. You’ll have br great analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to br communicate across all levels.
