Plant Fitter - Quarrying Industry

Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Plant Fitters and Maintenance Fitters based in the West Yorkshire region who may be interested in working as a Mechanical Fitter for a quarry in the area.
This is a Monday to Friday position working 47.5 hours, 5 days per week.
As Mechanical Fitter you will be responsible for the safe and effective maintenance and repair of fixed and mobile plant across company operations.

Carrying out mechanical repair and maintenance on both static and mobile plant, including engines.
Performing servicing and inspections to minimise breakdowns and maintain efficient plant operation.
Identifying faults, carrying out diagnostics and implementing timely, effective solutions.
Conducting risk assessments for non-routine tasks and adhering to safe systems of work.
Ordering necessary tools, equipment, and parts as required for maintenance tasks.
Ensuring all work is carried out in line with company health and safety procedures and industry regulations.
Reporting any near-misses, incidents or unsafe practices and contributing to site safety improvements.
Working both independently and as part of the wider maintenance and engineering team.Desired Engineer Profile
Experience maintaining and repairing static and mobile plant, ideally within a quarry or similar environment.
Is a self-motivated problem solver with good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Works well both independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrates a strong awareness of health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
Is organised, reliable, and able to manage their workload efficiently.
