Job Opportunity: Associate/Technical Director - Planning
Neo Environmental, an award-winning planning and environmental consultancy, has an exciting opportunity for an Associate/Technical Director - Planning to join our expanding team working on planning projects in the UK. The successful candidate will ideally have relevant experience in the Renewables sector. The position will offer the right individual the opportunity to work for a well-established and growing multi-disciplinary planning and environmental consultancy.
The successful candidate will work on a wide variety of projects, with a key focus on renewable energy developments. Prospective candidates will be expected to have excellent report writing skills and be well organized with meticulous attention to detail. We are seeking an enthusiastic person who is keen to learn and assist with a range of projects, with the ability to manage projects. The successful candidate should be RTPI accredited and will have significant post-graduate planning experience, preferably in a consultancy environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Overseeing Planning work
Project Management and delivery of EIAs, Planning Statements, DASs, DCOs, etc.
Project Management and delivery of Site Appraisals, Planning Statements, EIAs, etc.
Stakeholder Engagement and Management
Coordinating in-house consultants and liaising with clients
Organizing and conducting site visits, team meetings, and scheduling work
Sub-contractor management
Preparing and submitting planning applications
Tender and Fee Proposal production
Core Requirements:
Planning degree
Chartered or working towards membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
Demonstrable experience of the successful delivery and management of NSIPs and DCOs
Excellent working knowledge of the UK Planning system
The successful candidate will be required to produce reports for clients, so attention to detail, reliability, and good organizational skills are essential. Ability to project manage multi-disciplinary teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
