A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Peripatetic Nurse to work in an exceptional nursing home based in the Crook, County Durham area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This nursing home is a purpose-built residential care home specialising in Alzheimer's, learning disability and dementia-related care

**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Nurse either RGN, RMN or RNLD with a valid NMC Pin**

As a Nurse your key duties include:

  • Liaise with all members of the team and key stakeholders including family, friends, visiting professionals and commissioners to ensure holistic care of our residents
  • Assess, develop plans and implement plans of care for effective nursing care
  • Support senior nursing staff in providing direction, supervision and leadership of team members of the lodge/wing to include direct line management of senior carers
  • Participate in the assessment planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care in consultation with residents and family
  • Demonstrate clinical decision-making skills, displaying evidence-based practice Make effective clinical judgement affecting safe and timely delivery of resident's care
  • Be competent in the safe use of clinical equipment to deliver effective residents care
  • Maintain accurate written records at all times
  • Engage and interact with carers/family, encourage them to be actively involved in the caring process
  • Supervise and instruct senior carers and HCA's to ensure they integrate into the team and operate effectively within the boundaries of their role
  • Ensure that residents' safety is maintained and that risk management systems are utilised correctly
  • Organise and delegate workload to ensure effective delivery of resident's care is carried out by appropriate skilled members of staff
  • Assist in the control and use of resources within defined area of responsibilities Develop Link Role within the team

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for this role:

  • Previous nursing and supervisory experience
  • Understand care planning processes and have experience of writing care plans
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems
  • Able to show a can-do attitude always

The successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £18.00 per hour and the annual salary is up to £41,184 per annum. We currently have vacancies for both days and night shifts available. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
