Are you a fire door joiner who’s worked your way up through the ranks into site supervision or management? Looking to join a forward-thinking business where you can take ownership of projects and grow with the team?
We’re representing a specialist contractor based in Fleet with a strong reputation in the passive fire protection sector. With over 25 years of experience across housing, healthcare, and commercial environments, they deliver high-quality fire door installation and maintenance schemes throughout the South of England. The business is growing steadily and offers genuine opportunities for development as the team expands.
The Role:
You'll be the Project Manager’s trusted presence on site — overseeing the day-to-day supervision of fire door installation and maintenance projects, ensuring works are completed safely, compliantly, and to specification. Typical sites will have between 4–10 subcontract operatives on site at any one time. While the focus is fire doors, you’ll also be expected to oversee smaller-scale fire stopping works.
The company uses Onetrace to record compliance data, and occasionally Site Audit Pro, so experience with digital compliance tools is beneficial.
Responsibilities include:
*
Supervising and coordinating subcontract operatives on live sites
*
Maintaining quality standards and ensuring compliance across all works
*
Carrying out on-site audits and updating compliance systems
*
Supporting the delivery of works in line with programme and client expectations
*
Acting as the key liaison between operatives and the Project Manager
What We’re Looking For:
*
Proven experience in fire door joinery with progression into supervisory/site management roles
*
Solid understanding of passive fire compliance (particularly fire door standards)
*
Strong leadership on site, with the ability to manage teams and uphold quality
*
Confident using compliance tracking tools such as Onetrace or Site Audit Pro
*
Based within 1 hour of Fleet, with a full UK driving licence
What’s on Offer:
*
£45,000 – £50,000 per annum (DOE)
*
Company van and fuel card
*
Projects located within a local radius — minimal overnight stays
*
Supportive management, strong pipeline of work, and clear progression as the business grows
