Linear are working alongside an estblished Modular contractor looking to hire a Operations Manager. Overseeing the Project Managers and purchasing team.
Duties include:
* Ensure regular meetings are held with direct reports and that direction, motivation, and enthusiasm are maintained, bringing any issues to the attention of the COO.
* Develop team objectives, monitor and evaluate for direct reports.
* Ensure team knowledge, competence and compliance with company systems and processes.
* Review of company systems and process and recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
Operations
* Support timely contract sign off, leading to the coordination of survey, factory, logistics, structural engineers, local authority, services, materials, supply chain and internal and external issue of information, allocation of work packages and programming prior to our initial pre works survey.
* Overall responsibility for the build schedule and the coordination of all pre and on-site delivery activities to achieve and maintain cashflow and margin.
* Ensure regular meetings are held with direct reports and that direction, motivation, and enthusiasm are maintained, bringing any issues to the attention of the COO.
* Develop team objectives, monitor and evaluate for direct reports.
* Ensure team knowledge, competence and compliance with company systems and processes.
* Review of company systems and process and recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
* Ensure Health and Safety compliance of all Operations staff through direct management, audit and delegation.
* Recruitment, onboarding, development and retention of all members of the 'Operations' team
Skillset / Requirements
* Degree Level in construction management (preferred – not essential)
* 5 years plus experience in managing construction operations.
* Knowledge of timber frame / SIPS (preferred – not essential)
* Thorough understanding of construction operations (CDM Regs)
* Ability to build and maintain a robust professional network
* Good communicator
