NPD Technologist, North Wales
Salary: Up to £38,000 (DOE)
Are you passionate about developing delicious, innovative food products? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing NPD environment?
We’re working with an established food manufacturer who are looking for an NPD Technologist to join them to strengthen their development team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be playing a key role in taking new products to market, from concept through to launch.
About the Role:
Reporting to the NPD Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading customer NPD and EPD projects from concept to launch.
* Working closely with major retail customers, ensuring all products developed are in line with their requirements and launched on time.
* Developing recipes, completing submission forms, and managing launch documentation
* Collaborating closely with technical, production, supply chain, and commercial teams
* Supporting trials, sourcing new ingredients, and attending pre-launch meetings
* Ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards
What we’re looking for:
This is an ideal opportunity for a creative NPD specialist looking for a new challenge and we’re keen to hear from any body with the following skills and experience:
* Experience in an NPD Technologist role in a food manufacturing environment.
* A sound understanding of ingredient functionality and product development processes
* Knowledge of retailer policies and expectations (e.g. Tesco, Aldi, Sainsbury’s, etc.)
* Confident communicator with strong project coordination skills
* Comfortable working under pressure to meet fast-paced deadlines
* HACCP (minimum Level 3) and Food Hygiene qualified
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
