Our client based in Skipton are looking to recruit a Night Warehouse Picker. You will be responsible for accurately picking and preparing orders for delivery to clients. Your role will be critical in ensuring that fresh produce is sorted, packed, and dispatched on time. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Picking and Packing Orders:
* Select and pick fresh fruit, dry goods, dairy and vegetables based on customer orders.
* Ensure that all items are picked accurately
* Pack orders efficiently, ensuring correct packaging to maintain product quality during transit.
* Check product labels and ensure the right quantities and varieties are selected.
2. Inventory Management:
* Keep track of stock levels during shifts, reporting any shortages or discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
* Assist with stock rotation, ensuring that older items are picked first (FIFO – First In, First Out).
3. Safety and Cleanliness:
* Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the safe handling of equipment and produce.
* Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including cleaning your designated area during and at the end of shifts.
* Ensure safe operation of warehouse machinery, such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if trained).
4. Quality Control:
* Inspect produce for quality, checking for ripeness, damage, or contamination.
* Report any damaged or substandard products to management.
5. Teamwork and Communication:
* Work closely with other warehouse team members and supervisors to ensure timely order fulfilment.
* Communicate effectively to address any issues with stock or orders. Support the team to meet daily or weekly targets for orders picked.

* Operate basic warehouse machinery such as pallet jacks, trolleys, or forklifts (if certified).
* Ensure all equipment is used safely and stored correctly after use.
2. Additional Duties:
* Perform other warehouse-related tasks as assigned by management.
* Help with unloading deliveries and organizing incoming stock.

Hour p/w - 40hrs Monday to Sunday 5 days
Saturday Off + 1 Rota day
Time – 19:00 – 03:30 (Inclusive if 30 minute unpaid break)
