A well known public sector organisation based in Inverness. This company relies heavily on their IT systems to manage business critical infrastructure and continue to deliver their vital service to the public.
Your new role
As a network engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining critical infrastructure. You will be experienced in Juniper and Cisco, and have previous experience upgrading Switches and maintaining firmware.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have experience of the following:
Design, configure, and manage network infrastructure using Cisco, Aruba, and Fortinet technologies.
Perform network upgrades, including switch replacements and firmware updates.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with IT teams to support network-related projects and initiatives.
Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
The ideal candidate must be within commutable distance to Inverness and be able to work fully on site for the duration of the contract
