We are currently seeking an experienced
National Account Manager
to join a well-established, family-run SME based in
Rudheath . You will check the GP, activities and undertake tasks to grow the GP including managing existing customer relationships and through new opportunities.
You will be accountable for margin management and on-site testing for new products. You will be travelling across the country a lot and conducting a lot of meetings, this can mean regular early starts and late finishes as you travel. You will act as an Ambassador for the Company and will build a network of connections through networking, social media and referrals. As a Key Account Manager you will build strong relationships with customers and be their contact for any feedback and/or queries. This role will include a lot of travel across the UK- Maybe 3-4 days per week and 1-2 days in the office.
Key Duties and Responsibilities of a National Account Manager:
Attending customer meetings, hitting the contact numbers, signing contracts and upgrading customers to products and better technology
Delivery of your own GP and volume growth
Developing the accounts- selling more to them and getting more sites onboard
Quotes for customers, negotiating terms and loading visit notes on CRM
Booking meetings in outlook calendar, preparing notes for upcoming visits, doing quotes
Follow up actions from previous meetings, booking travel arrangements
Requirements
Must have had some formal sales training ideally, ideally KAM training
Must have at least 5 years sales experience, ideally selling a similar product - lubricants, inks, packaging, where there is an element of technical and hands-on in the factory- or sold into the FMCG Environment
Good geographical understanding to plan travel
Good customer service experience
Must be comfortable in a 360° role where you are booking meetings and doing admin
Familiar with Microsoft excel, word, outlook etc is beneficial
A degree would be beneficial
Some grounding in chemistry would help
Working hours:
Monday- Friday 7.30am- 4.30pm (flexible)

Salary- £40-45k basic with a bonus based on YOY GP growth
