Job Description

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are currently seeking a self motivated and experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer that is either 50/50 or electrical bias to join a large UK manufacturing organisation based in South Lanarkshire.

This is a permanent, full-time dayshift role, and is ideal for an engineer who enjoys variety and problem-solving within a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.

You will be responsible for ensuring the continued running of all equipment through a combination of planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdown support, and ongoing improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine PPM on machinery and equipment
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and perform fault-finding and repair on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Work on a variety of equipment including motors, conveyors, control panels, sensors, pumps, and hydraulics
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and machine upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and site standards
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities using the company's maintenance management system
  • Collaborate with other engineers and departments to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency

About You:

  • Time-served engineer with relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and repair skills
  • Good understanding of mechanical systems i.e gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial setting desirable
  • Knowledge of control panels, single & three-phase systems, and basic PLC fault-finding (advantageous)
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving ability and a team-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
