Our client is an award winning, independent family-owned manufacturing company. On their behalf, we are recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their busy Nights Shift team.
The Job
You’ll be responsible for attending to mechanical faults and carrying out reactive maintenance on high-speed manufacturing machinery.
* A team player with the ability to work productively and easily with others.
* Setting standards on machines and training others to set up and make improvements.
* Assisting in the setup of machines.
* Fault diagnosis.
* Excellent communicator. Ability to work well and calmly under pressure. Flexible and approachable. Excellent attention to detail.
* Diagnosing mechanical breakdowns quickly and efficiently
* Minimising downtime and ensuring continued production
In addition, you'll need the following:
* Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
* Time-served Engineer with demonstrable experience in a manufacturing/ production environment
* Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
* Familiarity with textile manufacturing machinery is advantageous
* Ability to work independently and respond quickly to breakdowns
Hours of Work are: Nights
Weekend Call Outs on a rota basis
