If you like being left alone with a broken machine and the satisfaction of fixing it properly — read on. Although, you won’t be entirely alone… Whilst the night shift is quieter, you will have the luxury of a strong team to problem solve with!
We're hiring a Multi-Skilled Engineer to keep things moving in one of the busiest food manufacturing sites in the region. The machines don’t stop, so neither can we — which is where you come in.
What you’ll get:
Long-term opportunity with a business that has its act together.
Real investment in the plant, not just patch-up jobs and wishful thinking.
A team that gets on, works hard, and values engineers who can think, not just turn spanners.
Investment into your own training and development
A very generous pension, over 20 days annual leave with options to buy more, plus a pretty juicy salary for only working half the year.
You’ll need to:
Know your way around electrical and mechanical faults.
Be confident enough with PLCs and control systems to poke around and actually fix something.
Handle breakdowns and PPMs without needing your hand held.
Spot small issues before they turn into 4-hour plant-stoppers.
Communicate clearly with ops, your team, and the shift manager.
If you have a recognised engineering qualification, whether that’s Mechanical or Electrical, we’d like to hear from you. If you know your way around CMMS systems like SAP and actually update them, even better.
If you’re ready to stop bouncing between short-term gigs and want a bit of structure, support, and ownership — apply now
