Multi-Skilled Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

Location: Glasgow
Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Summary:

This role is responsible for delivering effective planned and reactive mechanical and multi-skilled maintenance across the client’s site. You will ensure compliance with all legal and contractual obligations, maintain site assets, and foster strong stakeholder relationships. This position may require occasional cover for other contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of M&E and fabric systems on site.

* Manage the CAFM system to monitor service delivery and staff performance.

* Ensure compliance with client’s ISO 9001/14001 QMS and site Health & Safety responsibilities.

* Prioritise, assign, and oversee planned and reactive maintenance tasks.

* Supervise specialist contractors, including induction and work validation.

* Review and validate Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).

* Attend and contribute to monthly client and team meetings, including toolbox talks.

* Support QHSE initiatives, complete monthly site audits, and close out non-conformities.

* Assist in issuing quotations and managing minor works through Webquote.

* Be available for out-of-hours support as needed.

* Assist in the development and implementation of innovative operational processes and tools.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

* City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical discipline (mandatory).

* Strong understanding of CAFM systems and statutory compliance.

* Experience with BMS operation and interrogation.

* Ability to compile risk assessments and quotations.

* Competent in managing logbook systems and documentation.

* IOSH Managing Safely (desirable).

* Excellent organizational and communication skills.

* Client-facing, with ability to adapt to various environments.

Experience:

* Minimum 2 years in a similar engineering or building services role.

* Sound technical knowledge of M&E systems including HVAC, fire alarms, generators, UPS systems, water treatment, and lifts.

* Experience in critical environments such as comms rooms is advantageous.
