Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Metallurgist to join a team in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy and materials science, with a focus on developing and improving metal products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct research and development on metal materials and processes.

* Analyse the properties and performance of metals and alloys.

* Develop new metal products and improve existing ones.

* Perform failure analysis and provide solutions to metallurgical problems.

* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes.

* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

* Prepare technical reports and documentation.

* Provide technical support and expertise to other departments.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field.

* Proven experience in a metallurgical role.

* Strong knowledge of metal properties, processing, and testing methods.

* Proficiency in using metallurgical analysis tools and software.
