MK- Search and Selection are working with a well respected main contractor with a turnover of circa £1bn and a strong presence across sectors who are looking for an MEP Project Lead to a notable multi-stage data centre they have secured in Derry, northern Ireland.

As an MEP Project Lead, you will report to a European MEP director, working alongside a CSA lead with responsibility for the overall coordination and management of MEP systems. You will collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality MEP installations. Your role will include planning, budgeting, scheduling, and on-site management to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and manage the design and implementation of MEP .

* Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate MEP systems with overall project designs.

* Lead and supervise MEP teams, ensuring all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

* Monitor project budgets, timelines, and milestones, making adjustments as needed to stay on schedule and within budget.

* Ensure all MEP installations comply with local codes, regulations, and safety standards.

* Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring they are fully operational before handover.

* Prepare detailed project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and final handover packages.

Specific Requirements

* Relevant Third level Degree

* 10+ years experience preferably with a main contractor

* Previous projects experience on Construction/Civil Engineering projects is preferred (Mission Critical, Pharma, Data Centres, Hi-Tech)

* Chartered or working towards chartership

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required

* Excellent IT skills

The project is currently in pre-construction due to get to delivery stage in Q4 of this year. The scheme is seperated into multiple phases, with the initial stage consisting of 2 15mw buildings and planning accepted for a further 2 buildings taking overall capacity to circa 100MW across the 5-7 year delivery programme.
