Mechanical Service Engineer required for a company that installs, commissions and repairs CNC and Manual machine tools based in Halifax. The ideal candidate will be based locally and be a versatile service engineer with a mechanical bias background.
Mechanical Service Engineer Job Overview
Planned Maintenance activities on CNC/Manual machine tools
Reactive Maintenance activities on CNC/Manual machine tools
Fault finding and repairs of machine at customers premises.
Installation and commissioning of machinery.
Ordering parts.
Discuss and relay machine faults with the manager if required.
Answer customer queries on machines.
Mechanical Service Engineer Job Requirements
Prior experience in Field Service and/or Machine Tool service.
Mechanically bias, ideally holding an NVQ level 3 in mechanical engineering.
Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, CNC controls
Good knowledge of fault finding, mechanical/electrical repair.
Strong communication skills.
Willingness to travel throughout the week, and be prepared to stay overnight if required.
Weekend work is rare but possible.
Full UK driving license - preferably clean.
Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.

Salary- Circa £40,000 (dependent on skillset & experience)
