Mechanical Fitter Location: Sheffield Salary: Competitive DOE Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4:00pm, Friday 7:30am – 11:30am
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical assembly and machine builds from engineering drawings
Small-batch production: fitting, building, and final assembly
Prototype builds for new product development
Support build readiness: design for manufacture, build processes, quality, and safety
Inspect and control build quality – ensuring dimensions and characteristics are correct
Record manufacturing knowledge and support continuous improvement activities
Assist with Stores functions – control of incoming materials and production orders
Maintain accurate records: route cards and timesheets
Carry out general maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient workshop
