Mechanical Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Services Engineer to support a major infrastructure programme.

Key Details:

• 📍 Location: Plymouth

• ⏱️ Contract Length: 34 weeks

• 💼 IR35 Status: Inside IR35 (via umbrella)

• 💰 Rate: £53 - £65 per hour

• 🔐 Security Clearance: Ability to obtain SC is essential

The Role: You'll play a key part in delivering mechanical services engineering work packages - managing technical outputs across design, specification, documentation, and safety compliance, while supporting integration and interface with multiple engineering disciplines.

Ideal candidates will bring strong experience in mechanical system design (piping, ventilation, gas systems, pumping stations), safety substantiation for nuclear functions, and managing design lifecycles in complex engineering environments.
