LB382 - Mechanical Fitter Salary: £16.60 per hour Location: Darrington Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter on behalf of one of our clients.You will be responsible for the safe and effective maintenance and repair of fixed and mobile plant across operations. You will play a key role in supporting operational continuity and minimising equipment downtime while maintaining high safety standards.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out repair and maintenance of static and mobile quarry plant.
Undertake risk assessments for non-routine tasks.
Undertake engine servicing / repair on static and mobile plant engines.
Order stores/tools/equipment/parts as required.
Responsible for personal safety and that of all personnel under your authority, including others who may be affected by the company’s activities.
Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and to comply with safety rules / procedures, regulations and codes of practice.
