Mechanical Draughtsperson
Orion is working with a market leader in the Avionics sector, at the forefront of designing, developing, and supporting innovative aerospace products.
They are currently seeking a proactive, organised, and methodical Mechanical Draughtsperson to join their engineering design team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for their first placement in industry or an experienced draftsperson seeking a new challenge.
The Role:
You will play a key part in supporting both legacy and next-generation aerospace products, utilising 3D CAD (SolidWorks) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD).
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Draughtsperson
Modify and develop new and existing product designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Author, check, and implement design changes (CR/CO), specifications, and supporting documentation.
Evaluate the impact of design changes on product performance, cost, and maintenance.
Conduct basic tolerance analysis and apply GD&T and inspection methodologies.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to implement design changes and support production.
