Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a rapidly expanding SME socialising in electro-mechanical systems. This position, based in Southampton, will see you playing a pivotal role in developing solutions for multiple high-tech industries including automotive, aerospace, defence and rail.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDesign and development of electro-mechanical systems\nConducting thermal and stress analysis to ensure product integrity under operational conditions.\nFEA\nUtilising 3D CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks, for design and simulation.\nHand calculations Skills required:\n\nMechanical Design: Minimum 3 years industry experience \nThermal & Stress Analysis: Ability to perform detailed analysis to predict the performance under thermal and mechanical stresses.\nSolidWorks Proficiency: Expertise in using SolidWorks for mechanical design and analysis, with additional experience in SolidWorks Flow and vibration environments being highly desirable.\nElectro -mechanical systems design would be desirable This permanent role is ideal for someone looking to further their career with a dynamic company at the forefront of technology innovation.
