Mechanical Design Engineer required for a manufacturer based in Bridport. The successful candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or similar. Either graduates will be considered or candidates with experience.

Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview

Create and modify CAD drawings using IMOS software
Assist with the planning and scheduling of production activities
Ensure all designs meet technical specifications and manufacturing requirements
Liaise with production staff to ensure smooth workflow from design to completion
Maintain accurate documentation and records of design and production changes
Support general administrative tasks related to production and design

Mechanical Design Engineer Job Requirements

Experience with CAD software is essential; IMOS experience is highly preferred
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
Good organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is beneficial but not required

Mechanical Design Engineer Salary & Benefits

Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Salary:
Starting from £30,000 per annum (for candidates with no experience)
Up to £40,000 per annum for the right candidate with relevant experience and skills competitive salary based on experience
