Job Description Your new company
A leading Mechanical Contractor specialising in Commercial, Hospitality and Residential projects is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The company has been established for over 15 years, covering all aspects of mechanical installations including heating, plumbing, air conditioning, ventilation and BMS systems.
Your new role
Assisting the estimator by reviewing tender drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Suggesting value engineering possibilities to optimise costs and efficiency.
Reviewing our tender prior to submission to ensure compliance with client requirements and internal standards.
Performing design checks, including calculations for heat losses/gains, pipe sizes, duct sizes, pumps, fans, etc.
Continuously suggesting value engineering possibilities to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Updating layouts, schematics, and other design elements as required.
Preparing and submitting technical documents and specifications for approval.
Assisting Revit/CAD technicians with coordination issues to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
Supporting Contracts Managers with resolving design-related issues during the construction phase.
