Shop Scheduler and Materials Planner
Our client are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Materials Planner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in producing and printing works orders, MRP system, and working closely with planning engineers to ensure the timely achievement of schedules. This role entails liaising with various internal teams, such as engineering and planning departments, to resolve planning issues and improve overall plan quality and efficiencies.
Responsibilities as Shop Scheduler and Materials Planner
- Communicate and collaborate with planning engineers and internal teams to ensure the timely issuing of jobs
- Identify and resolve planning issues by liaising with engineering and planning departments
- Coordinate material and parts progression and availability to align with the MRP plan
- Control workflow through the business, including sub-contract work, to ensure schedules are met
- Utilise ERP system to track and manage material movements
- Uphold high-level, detailed skills with a strong focus on process improvement
- Act in accordance with ISO9001 standards to ensure compliance and quality
- Execute manual and physical product material movement activities across the office and shop floor
