Materials Controller

Our client based in Redditch, Worcestershire are currently recruiting for a Materials Controller to join their expanding team.
Job Description: As part of the Supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely procurement, scheduling, and availability of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging supplies necessary for production. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, production planners, operations, commercial and warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing waste and production delays.
Roles And Responsibilities:
Develop and manage material schedules
Raise purchase orders to ensure on time delivery is achieved by external suppliers
Review volume requirements continuously
Management of all inventory to the agreed stock levels
Provide information to key functions and communicate appropriately to internal stakeholders
Maintain accurate records of material usage, waste and supplier performance
Key Accountabilities And Measurables: Maintaining agreed stock levels in a cost-effective manner, measure by value of P&L inventory used and held on a weekly/monthly basis.
Ensuring stock is available to meet production requirements, avoiding downtime and customer shortages.
