Responsibilities:
As an Material Handling Operator, you will:
Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
Load and unload materials efficiently and accurately
Maintain a clean and organised work environment
Follow safety protocols and procedures diligently
Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any issues
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Valid forklift and material handling certifications
Proven experience in a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment
Strong understanding of safety practises and regulations
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Experience with automated material handling systems
Knowledge of inventory management systems
Previous experience in a dock or shipping environment
Basic troubleshooting skills for handling equipment
Technologies:
Forklifts (Counterbalance and Reach)
Pallet jacks
Warehouse management software (WMS)
Safety and operational equipment
