Management Accountant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a fast-paced and diverse group of businesses as a Management Accountant. This position offers a pathway into a leadership role in the near future.
You’ll be responsible for preparing monthly accounts, managing VAT and bank reconciliations, overseeing ledgers, and supporting cash flow and budget monitoring.
We're looking for someone with AAT Level 4, ACCA/CIMA part-qualification, or relevant experience, along with solid Sage 50 and Excel skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly management accounts across multiple group entities
Support all aspects of month-end processes: journals, accruals, and prepayments
Conduct VAT returns and bank reconciliations
Oversee purchase and sales ledger activities, including payment runs and invoice matching
Collaborate with project managers and department heads for effective budget tracking
Maintain and forecast cash flow
Reconcile credit cards and supplier statements
Provide payroll cover and assist with audit preparation
Identify system and process improvements to strengthen financial controls
Report directly to the Finance Director and Managing Director, with potential oversight of junior staff
