About the Company:
Our client is well established and serves a diverse client base across a range of industry sectors. Their work is focused largely on owner managed businesses, with turnovers from circa £1m up to £250m. They provide a wide range of services including audit, accountancy, bookkeeping support, payroll bureau, tax compliance, specialist tax services, M&A and deal/transaction support.
The firm consists of 29 partners, 6 of whom are based in the West London office together with 50 professional and administrative staff members.
About the Opportunity:
Our client currently requires a Management Accountant to support the continued organic
growth of the business.
About the Responsibilities:
Joining as Management Accountant, you will be providing services to clients operating across
various industries.
This role will involve:
• Ownership and management of a portfolio of clients.
• Client facing role – serve as a primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring
queries are handled promptly and professionally.
• Processing client records to either QuickBooks or Xero. Calculating and making
adjustments for depreciation, prepayments, accruals & tax provisions.
• Bank reconciliations, processing payroll journals.
• Review of clients’ account data in QuickBooks or Xero for the purposes of VAT return
preparation.
• Prepare VAT returns including accruals & cash-based accounting, flat rate schemes
and partial exemption calculations. File VAT returns with HMRC and within accounting
data.
• Preparation of Management Accounts using Excel and Xero
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
About the Applicant:
They successful candidate will be:
• Able to demonstrate experience of previously working as a bookkeeper.
• Experienced working with QuickBooks and Xero.
• Numerate with strong IT skills.
• An excellent communicator with good verbal and written English skills.
• Self-driven, results-oriented, and with a positive outlook
