The Role
SWIFT Temps Ltd – Engineering Division is recruiting a skilled Maintenance Engineer for a permanent position across two key manufacturing sites in Grassington and Keighley. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team within the food and beverage production industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on machinery such as conveyors, shrink wrappers, chillers, and bottling lines
* Rapid response to breakdowns to reduce production downtime
* Electrical fault finding and repair (motors, drives, wiring, relays, sensors, etc.)
* PLC fault diagnosis and support for commissioning
* Assist in installation and improvement projects
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager and wider team
* Support general repairs and new equipment installation across both sites
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance
* Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, and control systems
* Welding experience (MIG & TIG) beneficial
* Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
* Relevant engineering qualifications or apprenticeship
* Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
* Must be flexible to travel between Grassington and Keighley sites
Working Hours & Benefits
* Hours: 4 x 12-hour shifts per week (06:00–18:00) including Saturdays on a rotating basis
* Holidays: 24 days (based on 4-day working week)
* Salary: £47,132 per annum
* Additional: Company pension scheme, ongoing training and development
