Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Ripley
Salary: £46,550
Bonus: £1,314 Hours: 40 per week Shifts: 3-shift rotation

I’m currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Ripley. The focus is on reducing downtime through a shift from reactive to proactive maintenance strategies.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a time-served electrical engineer with solid industrial experience and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Electrical and basic mechanical maintenance across a manufacturing facility

Electrical fault finding and diagnostics on AC/DC motors, inverters, and control systems

Support with both reactive and planned maintenance activities

Ensure site safety, security, and compliance with HSE regulations

Log maintenance activity through CMMS and contribute to performance KPI tracking

Identify opportunities for process and facility improvements

Work collaboratively with mechanical engineers, production teams, and site leadership

What We’re Looking ForQualifications & Experience:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (time-served apprenticeship)

Minimum 4 years’ experience in industrial/manufacturing settings

17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable)

Technical Skills:

Electrical fault-finding and repair

Control panels, industrial wiring, AC/DC motors, servo drives

Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics in relation to control systems

Basic mechanical knowledge (gearboxes, bearings, etc.)

CMMS use and PPM scheduling

IT literate (Microsoft Office)

PLC fault-finding/programming experience (desirable)

Compliance & Safety:

Knowledge of PUWER, COSHH, LOLER, HSE

Electrical isolation and LOTO procedures

Understanding of BS 7671 standards

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and team collaboration

Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement focus
