We’re now searching for a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our talented in-house team. This isn’t just about fixing things—it’s about safeguarding the experience of every guest who walks through our doors. As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be the go-to technical expert across HVAC, electrical, and general building systems—keeping our spaces comfortable, safe, and running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing as a Maintenance Engineer:
- Take the lead on installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems—chillers, boilers, air handling units, and VRF systems are your domain.
- Carry out expert-level electrical work, including lighting, wiring, power systems, and fault-finding with 3-phase equipment and generators.
- Tackle general maintenance tasks like plumbing, carpentry, and painting, contributing to the overall upkeep and atmosphere of the property.
- Prioritise preventative maintenance, especially on critical HVAC and electrical systems, reducing downtime and boosting energy efficiency.
- Respond rapidly to maintenance issues, diagnosing faults and delivering smart, effective repairs—especially where guest experience could be impacted.
- Support and oversee specialist contractors to ensure their work reflects our high standards.
- Keep detailed records of all your work—especially HVAC and electrical repairs—to ensure compliance and maintain continuity.
- Collaborate with hotel teams and other Maintenance Engineers to ensure seamless property operations.
What makes a great Maintenance Engineer at edyn:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in hospitality or hotels.
- Deep knowledge of HVAC systems (including chillers, boilers, AHUs, VRF) and electrical systems (3-phase, generators, fire alarms).
- A sharp problem-solver with great attention to detail and technical confidence.
- Skilled across general maintenance trades: basic plumbing, carpentry, painting.
- A self-starter who also works well within a team environment.
- Clear communicator with a positive, can-do approach.
- Flexible to respond to urgent issues and comfortable working occasional weekends.
Bonus points if you have:
- Relevant trade certifications in HVAC or electrical systems.
- Experience with commercial kitchen systems or pool maintenance.
- Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety in hospitality environments.
