Logistics Coordinator – Sheerness
Location: Sheerness, Kent

Excel Resourcing is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join an existing team at a busy transport operation based at the Sheerness.
This is a full-time, permanent role offering stability, career growth, and the opportunity to play a key part in a dynamic logistics environment.
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for the effective planning and allocation of driver workloads across the South East. You will play a vital role in ensuring timely vehicle deliveries, maximising driver efficiency, and maintaining clear communication across teams.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
*
Allocate driver workloads to ensure optimal utilisation and efficiency.
*
Communicate with Transport and Yard teams across Sheerness, Purfleet, and Luton to ensure operational alignment.
*
Monitor compliance with UK driving hours legislation and working time regulations.
*
Use internal tracking systems to manage and review driver performance.
*
Report any delivery issues or productivity concerns to the Allocation Team Leader.
*
Liaise with depots and handling agents to minimise delays and resolve issues.
*
Plan and maintain daily driver schedules, including maintenance windows.
*
Ensure consistent communication with drivers to confirm workload expectations and deadlines.
✅ What We’re Looking For:

Experience in logistics, transport planning, or a driver coordination role.
*
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
*
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and traffic planning systems.
*
Solid knowledge of UK geography.
*
Understanding of UK Driver Working Time and Hours regulations
