Overview:
DT Source Ltd is seeking to supply up to 4 experienced operatives for ongoing BAU (Business As Usual) work in a secure live data centre environment. The work includes migration of live fibre infrastructure, server hardware tasks, and critical changes conducted within planned downtime windows for blue-chip clients.
Candidates must be skilled, security-cleared (British passport), and capable of delivering fault-free work in controlled, high-pressure environments where accuracy is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform live fibre migrations, ensuring zero disruption to services
*
Fibre patching across racks, cabinets, and switches
*
Support moves, adds, and changes across critical infrastructure
*
Racking and stacking servers, switches, and network hardware to exact build documentation
*
Working around scheduled server downtime within secure white space environments
*
Updating patch records, schematics, and asset logs in real-time
*
Maintaining workspace cleanliness and adhering to all site protocols
Essential Requirements:

British Passport Holders only (required for security clearance)
*
Extensive experience in live data centre environments
*
Skilled in fibre optic handling, patching, routing, and containment work
*
Comfortable working during planned maintenance windows for live client services
*
Ability to interpret patch schedules, layout drawings, and structured cabling standards
Certifications Required:

Valid ECS Card – mandatory

Strong awareness of data centre protocols and client expectations

Capable of working independently or as part of a small team

Excellent documentation and communication skills

Working Conditions:

Shift patterns may include nights/weekends aligned to change control/downtime windows (higher rates paid)
