Would you like to work for a local solicitors with a long history and friendly working environment? They are looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join them. The role includes a salary of up to £28,000, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a pension, death in service benefits and free onsite parking.
What will you be doing as a Legal Cashier:
Working alongside the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the client bank account in accordance with Solicitors Accounting Rules (SAR). Duties will include:
Processing financial transactions, including client payments and disbursements
Maintaining records of all transactions and ensuring compliance with legal accounting standards
Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and statements
Communicating with clients and colleagues to resolve any discrepancies or queries regarding payments
Handling outgoing payments (BACS, faster payments, CHAPs, and cheques), overseeing payment approvals, and managing queries
Dealing with daily client bank reconciliation
Ensuring recording of all financial transactions
Managing shared query inboxes
We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in a similar Legal Cashier role
A working knowledge of the SRA and AML rules
Confident using Word, Excel and Outlook
