Derwentside College’s Engineering Department have developed long-standing partnerships with several leading engineering employers in the Northeast. As such, we are fortunate enough to be training some of the region’s most talented trainee engineers within our brand new advanced manufacturing workshop and testing areas.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to teach and assess students in our Engineering Department. The ideal candidates will have hands-on project experience, proficiency in CAD (specifically SolidWorks), and expertise in turning/lathe operations.
What You Will Do: Ideally, you will have a track record of excellence in teaching that will allow you to deliver Advanced Manufacturing Engineering up to Levels 4 or 5. You will be qualified to this level or above and possess industry experience that enables you to contextualise your teaching with specific examples. You will be able to evidence professional development that gives you currency in the sector. Strong communication and organisational skills, along with the ability to inspire and motivate students, are essential.
