Lecturer in IT (T Level)

Kidderminster College is a thriving college in the heart of the West Midlands. In August 2014 the College joined Newcastle College Group (NCG), one of the largest education and training providers in the country.

To meet our ambition of delivering an exciting and outstanding educational experience, we need an enthusiastic and inspiring lecturer to lead our T level IT and Digital provision. The right candidate will have a proven record of high success, industry experience/knowledge and a strong desire to encourage learners to reach their full potential. We have an ambitious vision to grow the IT department at L2 and L3 and need the right individual to lead our learners to become agile practitioners in a dynamically changing industry.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for an individual who is driven and committed to lively, student-centred teaching and is knowledgeable in the following areas:


  • Good Python skills, with secondary skills in HTML, Javascript, CSS, and SQL
  • Good theoretical cybersecurity knowledge
  • Strong IT industry knowledge
  • Practical understanding the legal and ethical guidelines surrounding the IT Industry
  • Analytical thinking skills


The successful candidate should be flexible and responsive to student needs, industry changes, be independent/proactive, and have excellent organisational skills. You will be a fluent and persuasive communicator - able to negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation, including our current and future partners in the IT industry.
