Role as a Learning Support Assistant
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with students based in the Learning Support Base and in mainstream lessons. You’ll be instrumental in helping pupils with SEMH and ADHD engage in their learning, manage their emotions, and build confidence both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities Include:

* Supporting individual students and small groups within the Learning Support Base

* Aiding access to learning and helping students regulate emotions in and out of class

* Implementing personalised support strategies developed by the SENCO

* Building positive relationships with students and acting as a consistent role model

* Collaborating with teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals

* Participating fully in school CPD and support staff training
