Platform Recruitment have partnered with a cutting-edge research and development company specialising in communication networks. They are seeking a hands-on Lab Technician to join their dynamic team and play a key role in the setup and management of complex optical networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  Lab facility management and health & safety compliance

  
  


• 
  

  Setup and automation of RF & optical test equipment

  
  


• 
  

  PCB design, soldering, and test fixture development

  
  


• 
  

  Documentation, shipping logistics, and calibration coordination

  
  

Key skills:

• 
  

  Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or 5+ years lab experience

  
  


• 
  

  Strong interest in advanced communications, optics, and systems

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with PCB design, Python/C/Matlab, and test automation

  
  


• 
  

  Comfortable with Linux and an interest in AI would be desirable.
