Your Role:

* Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that support Year 1 students in developing essential skills in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning

* Personalise learning to cater to the diverse needs of students, including differentiated activities and targeted interventions for students requiring additional support

* Track and assess students’ academic progress regularly, providing feedback to students and parents to guide future learning

* Foster a safe, engaging environment where students feel encouraged to take risks and develop their self-confidence

* Actively contribute to the whole-school community through extracurricular activities and participation in school-wide events

* Support students in their transition from Reception to Year 1, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all

What We’re Looking For:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and previous teaching experience in Key Stage 1

* A passion for early childhood education and creating opportunities for hands-on, creative learning

* Strong understanding of phonics, early literacy, and numeracy strategies

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents

* An ability to create an environment where all children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally

* A commitment to ongoing professional development and a drive to improve your teaching practice
