Junior Estimator – Fit-Out / Joinery / Drylining
Location: Office-based in Brentwood
Hours: 08:00–16:00
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in estimating roles
Sector Background: Fit-out, joinery, or drylining (preferred)
Reporting To: Director
About the Role
DC Solutions Services is recruiting on behalf of its client for a focused and motivated Junior Estimator to join their expanding team. This role is ideal for someone with at least 2 years of experience in construction estimating and proven efficiency using Bluebeam for take-offs and mark-ups.
You’ll be working on a variety of commercial fit-out projects, particularly within drylining, carpentry, and joinery. The successful candidate will support the preparation of competitive and accurate cost estimates, contributing to successful tender submissions.
Key Responsibilities
*
Perform precise material and labour take-offs using Bluebeam
*
Review drawings and tender documents to compile cost estimates
*
Source and compare quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
*
Assist in preparing structured, competitive tender packages
*
Maintain and update cost data in line with market trends
*
Support senior estimators with detailed project breakdowns
Required Skills & Experience
*
Minimum 2 years' dedicated experience in estimating
*
Demonstrated proficiency and efficiency in Bluebeam
*
Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
*
Background in fit-out, drylining, or joinery preferred
*
High attention to detail and numerical accuracy
*
Organised, reliable, and a strong communicator
