The Role

As a Junior Electrical Design Engineer, you will support senior engineers in delivering innovative and practical electrical design solutions across a variety of building services projects. This is a career-defining opportunity to grow your technical expertise while gaining hands-on project exposure in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in the production of detailed electrical design drawings, specifications, and calculations.

* Support the design and coordination of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and more.

* Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and design documentation.

* Liaise with clients, architects, and other consultants as part of the project team.

* Attend site visits and surveys when required.

* Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in sustainable and low-carbon design.

Requirements

* Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or related discipline).

* Ideally 6 months to 2 years of relevant industry experience (internships or post-grad roles welcome).

* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux, and Microsoft Office Suite.

* Knowledge of relevant British Standards and building regulations.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* A proactive approach with a desire to learn, grow, and develop within a thriving consultancy.
