We are seeking an experienced Joinery Manager to lead the workshop operations for a well-established, highly respected specialist contractor renowned for delivering high-quality bespoke joinery and heritage restoration projects across the South East.
The Role:
As Joinery Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing a team of skilled bench joiners and workshop staff, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the joinery workshop. You’ll manage production schedules, quality control, health & safety, and contribute to the development of efficient, high-standard craftsmanship that supports prestigious heritage and high-end residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan production schedules and allocate workloads effectively

Maintain high standards of quality and craftsmanship

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Liaise with project managers, clients, and site teams to ensure delivery targets are met

Manage workshop resources and maintain equipment
Requirements:

Proven experience in managing a joinery workshop or similar production environment

Strong leadership and communication skills

Excellent understanding of bespoke joinery and traditional woodworking methods

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Organised, with strong attention to detail
