About the Role:

A leading software consultancy is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join its Central Government team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and mission-critical projects, developing bespoke software solutions that enhance national security and operational efficiency.

Operating in a hybrid capacity, you can choose to work from offices in Bristol, Cheltenham, or Manchester, with regular client site visits required.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and test software solutions in an Agile environment.
Utilise open-source libraries and components to build high-quality, secure systems.
Implement continuous integration pipelines using GitLab to ensure software quality.
Deploy solutions to public (AWS and Azure) and private cloud environments.
Engage regularly with clients to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Strong expertise in back-end development (Java, Spring Boot) or full-stack development (Java & JavaScript).
