We are hiring for an ITU Nurse in and around Southampton.

The ideal candidate will have:

* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and contribute to clinical audits and quality improvement.

* Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention.

* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans in collaboration with the wider healthcare team.

* Participate in emergency response procedures, including CPR and trauma management.

Person Specification Qualifications and Training Essential

* Completion of a degree or diploma in Adult Nursing from a recognised institution.

* Registered Nurse (Adult) with current and valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.

* In-house or formal training in critical care nursing or intensive care procedures (or willingness to undertake).

* Up-to-date mandatory training (e.g., infection prevention and control, safeguarding, manual handling).

Knowledge and Experience Essential

* Proven experience in an acute care setting, with a minimum of 6–12 months in an ICU/ITU or High Dependency Unit (HDU).

*

Sound knowledge of critical care nursing principles, including the management of ventilated patients and those requiring multi-organ support.

* Familiarity with operating and interpreting data from advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and haemodynamic monitors.

* Ability to recognise and respond promptly to changes in a patient's condition, including emergency situations.

* Experience working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high-pressure environment.
