ICT TECHNICIAN

Career Teachers are looking to recruit experienced and dedicated ICT Technician's to work in a cluster of Secondary Schools in the Birmingham and surrounding area.

We are extremely busy with requests from our schools with the flexibility of working around your commitments as we offer short-term and long-term roles to suit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the schools network manager, you will be working as part of a small team to ensure the IT services are operating at optimum efficiency
  • Providing first line ICT support to staff and pupils within the school
  • Assist with the maintenance of ICT software, hardware, and relevant equipment
  • Assisting with the general technical support of the ICT department

What We're Looking For:

  • Must have experience of receiving and resolving ICT issues in a school environment across a range of devices.
  • Knowledge of MS Windows, Windows 10, and MS Exchange as well as knowledge of network switching, routers, and firewalls.
  • Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting students' learning experiences.
  • Eligibility to work within the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one
  • Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer a FREE online Safeguarding training course
  • Able to provide a minimum of 2 x references to cover the last 2 years of employment history

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
