IT Support
Location: Bolton (with travel to retail stores across the North West)
Salary: £28,000 – £34,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:45 with 45-minute lunch)
On-call 1 week in every 2, including Saturday morning store visits and weekend phone support
Key Responsibilities:
Provide IT support across 48 retail outlets and the head office
Support and maintain the company’s EPOS system (software and hardware)
Train retail staff on EPOS use and system processes
Manage EPOS system rollouts when required
Respond to internal IT support requests, incidents, and queries
Support business systems including desktops, laptops, and servers
Work with Microsoft SQL, Active Directory, Exchange, and Windows Server (##########9)
Maintain and support network infrastructure (switches, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
Support virtual environments (VMWare), backups (Veeam), and MDM (MobileIron)
Liaise with third-party suppliers to resolve system issues and implement solutions
Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and software
Some out-of-hours and weekend support required
About You:
Proven experience in IT technical support or a similar role
Strong understanding of networking and firewall configurations
Confident troubleshooting both hardware and software issues
Experience with Microsoft Office, Office 365, and ideally Microsoft Azure
Familiar with ERP systems (preferred but not essential)
Good communication skills, able to explain technical terms to non-technical users
Proactive and analytical with a flexible and adaptable approach
Must have a full clean UK driving licence and access to your own car
Pool car available during the week for store visits
