IT Manager



Location: City of London



Salary: �65,000 - �75,000 + Bonus + Benefits



We are seeking a hands-on IT Manager to lead the technical design, implementation, security, and ongoing support of our IT infrastructure, integration tools, and data warehouse. The hands-on IT Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring this wealth management business operates with efficiency, resilience, and best-in-class cyber security.



Key Responsibilities



IT Infrastructure & Management




  • The hands-on IT Manager will own and manage all IT assets, suppliers, contracts, licenses, and service-level agreements (SLAs).

  • Conduct cost/value analysis, platform capacity planning, resilience, and security assessments.

  • The hands-on IT Manager will validate technical designs for transformation initiatives.

  • Oversee application infrastructure, including scoping, design, sourcing, project planning, implementation, data migration, testing, disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP), integration, and KPI/SLA reporting.

  • The hands-on IT Manager will manage procurement, cost control, and proactive performance monitoring of cloud subscriptions, software licenses, hardware, networks, colocation, and data warehouse infrastructure.

  • Implement fixed asset management, including stock control, warranties, end-of-life planning, upgrades, and technology debt management.

  • The hands-on IT Manager will ensure efficient onboarding/offboarding processes, device procurement, rollouts, and upgrades in collaboration with IT support partners.

  • Oversee outsourced IT support partner performance, enforce SLAs, plan support resource capacity, conduct root cause analysis, and identify training opportunities for users.



Governance & Cyber Security




  • The hands-on IT Manager will manage supplier relationships, including procurement, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and cost tracking.

  • Define and enforce user policies, technology best practices, regulatory compliance, and system documentation.

  • Lead cyber security governance, including policy definitions, accreditation, breach response coordination, and IT spend optimisation.

  • The hands-on IT Manager will oversee data governance, including document hierarchy, role-based permissions, data mapping, archiving, litigation holds, and information security policy.

  • Provide board-level reporting on IT operations and performance.
