Location: Southampton, UK
Salary: circa. £40,000 (DOE)

My client is looking for a results driven, experienced Internal Sales or Account Manager to join their team in their Southampton Office. The right candidate will be an experienced sales-person who has worked previously for a UK based Freight Forwarder or Shipping Line, having a background in Sea Freight or Shipping sales and Account Development.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 9:00am-5:00pm

To develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients, offering excellent customer service.
To generate and follow up sales leads, liaising with new and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
Bring on new business and liaise with the operations team.
Build relationships with new and existing clients and customers, maximise sales and ensuring excellent customer service.
Handling Tenders for Ocean Freight, Shipping and Haulage rates and prices, when required.
Creating and maintaining a database for new and existing tenders.
Be up-to-date on current developments in the market and information on competitors.Requirements:
Shipping or Sea Freight Sales/Account Management Experience.
Previous Experience working for a UK based Shipping Line or Freight Forwarder.
Previous experience in Container Operations.
Previous experience in speaking with customers and managing accounts.
