A high-growth, PE-backed international logistics group is seeking an exceptional Interim Group Financial Controller to join their London-based finance function during a period of significant transformation and expansion.

This is a critical role with high visibility across the organisation. You'll work closely with the Group Finance Director and CFO to lead on all aspects of financial reporting, compliance and consolidation across multiple European entities.

Key Responsibilities:

'Hit the ground running' and take ownership of the group finance function
Lead the year-end close process and manage the relationship with external auditors
Deliver accurate and timely group-level reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually) under IFRS
Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements across the group
Ensure tax, legal and financial regulatory compliance across jurisdictions
Own and evolve internal controls and the group's risk and control matrix
Develop and implement group accounting policies and control frameworks
Support group restructures and lead on all aspects of acquisition accounting
Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
Lead, develop and mentor the group reporting team
Stay ahead of IFRS changes and manage implementations
Promote best practice and continuous improvement across finance functions
Travel to European cluster offices as required (no more than once per month)

What We're Looking For:

ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified with significant post-qualified experience
Proven experience in a Financial Controller role within a leveraged/PE-backed environment
Strong technical accounting expertise, particularly around IFRS and consolidations
Effective leader and collaborator, able to work cross-functionally and internationally
Excellent communication skills - confident with senior stakeholders and external partners
Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food or supply chain is beneficial but not essential
